the ask

YJC has supplied a team of freelancers and contractors from our collective to deliver a brand-new web application and the end-to-end ecosystem equipping the Pop & Rest pods. We also provided a freelancer to work on digital campaigns, SEO and strategic partnerships.

Pop & Rest connected sleep pods allow customers to book a stay and check-in seamlessly. Practically, it means creating a bespoke system that enables flexible bookings, secured access, and room tracking. We also support Pop & Rest with C-level insights to raise funding, define a growth plan, and ensure product development remains agile.

“A seamless user experience to lead them to nap paradise”

experience principles

We ran user research, including many tests in London Pop & Rest sleep pod spaces. We had to define the customer journey, pain points/trigger points, and how the brand should be perceived in the marketplace.

Data driven

“A robust scalable back-end system”

technical requirements

We worked with Pop & Rest management teams to engineer the back-end, including data modelling, system architecture, hardware testing, and designing APIs that would make it easy to integrate with third-party services for room access, booking notifications, and payment.

the process

We are working in a very lean startup fashion way. Designing, building, testing with users and improving the products continuously. The work is complex as the ecosystem requires data intelligence and robust architecture to handle bookings, room management and control hundreds of smart devices.
